The Experience
Stop 1: Altun Ha Ruins
Visit the closest Mayan site to the city. Altun Ha is famous for the “Jade Head” discovery. It’s a great site for photos because you are allowed to climb the main Masonry Altar temple.
Stop 2: Cave Tubing
After the ruins, we head to Nohoch Che’en. Hike 20 minutes through the rainforest, jump in your tube, and float through the “Xibalba” cave system. It is the perfect way to cool off before heading back to the island.

We work around the ferry schedule. If you want to grab a quick breakfast in the city before we start? We can do that. Want to get back for the 3:30 PM boat? We’ll make it happen.
